Return & Refund Policy

1. Introduction

At Ride-Rack, we are committed to delivering high-quality products designed and manufactured in Slovenia. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, this policy explains your rights and our return procedures.

This policy applies to all purchases made through www.ride-rack.com.

2. 14-Day Return Period

Consumers have the right to request a return within 14 calendar days of receiving their order.

To qualify for a return, products must:

  • Be unused and uninstalled
  • Be in original condition
  • Be returned in original packaging
  • Include all supplied accessories and hardware
  • Include proof of purchase

Business-to-business (B2B) purchases may not be eligible for the same return rights and will be assessed individually.

3. Return Authorization Required

Before returning any product, customers must first contact Ride-Rack at:

Please include:

  • Order number
  • Customer name
  • Product being returned
  • Reason for return

A Return Authorization must be issued before products are shipped back.

Returns sent without prior authorization may be refused.

4. Return Shipping Costs

Ride-Rack Pays Return Shipping If:

  • The product arrived damaged
  • The wrong item was delivered
  • The product has a verified manufacturing defect

Customer Pays Return Shipping If:

  • The customer changes their mind
  • The wrong product was ordered
  • The product is no longer required
  • The return is made under the standard withdrawal period without product defect

Customers are responsible for ensuring returned items are properly packaged for transport.

5. Damaged or Defective Products

If your product arrives damaged or defective, please notify us within 7 days of delivery.

Please provide:

  • Order number
  • Description of the issue
  • Photographs of the product
  • Photographs of the packaging if applicable

We may request additional information before approving a replacement or refund.

6. Inspection of Returned Products

All returned items are inspected upon receipt.

Refunds or exchanges may be denied if products:

  • Show signs of use
  • Have been installed
  • Have been modified
  • Are damaged due to misuse
  • Are missing components
  • Are returned without original packaging

7. Refund Process

Once the returned product has been inspected and approved, refunds will be processed to the original payment method.

Approved refunds are generally processed within 5–10 business days.

The actual time required for funds to appear may depend on your payment provider or bank.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless:

  • The product was defective
  • The product arrived damaged
  • Ride-Rack shipped the incorrect item

8. Exchanges

Where appropriate, Ride-Rack may offer a replacement product instead of a refund.

Replacement products will normally be dispatched after the returned item has been received and inspected.

9. Non-Returnable Items

Returns may not be accepted for:

  • Used products
  • Installed products
  • Customized products
  • Modified products
  • Products damaged by misuse
  • Products missing original packaging
  • Products returned outside the return period

10. Manufacturer Warranty

Ride-Rack products are covered by a limited one-year manufacturer's warranty against defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

This warranty does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Cosmetic damage
  • Improper installation
  • Improper storage
  • Negligence
  • Accidents
  • Unauthorized modifications
  • Damage caused by exceeding the specified load limit
  • Damage caused by failure to follow product instructions

Nothing in this policy limits any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.

11. Product Use and Safety

Ride-Rack products are intended for bicycles and bicycle-related equipment only.

Unless otherwise specified on the product page, Ride-Rack racks have a maximum load capacity of 50 kg.

Customers are responsible for:

  • Proper installation
  • Proper loading
  • Following all supplied instructions
  • Regular inspection of mounting points and hardware

Failure to follow these requirements may void warranty coverage.
